Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid (QCF)

Course Duration One day

This qualification is suitable for learners aged 16 years or over.

The Emergency Paediatric First Aid course has been designed for those who have an interest in child and infant basic life support. The qualification serves as a fantastic introduction into paediatric first aid.  You will be gaining knowledge and competence to administer first aid and basic life support – an extremely valuable skill to have – for you, your employer as well as friends and family.

If you have a professional interest, i.e. you are a child-minder or school teacher, etc, then this course partly fulfils the requirements of OFSTED and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). OFSTED and the Early Years Foundation Stage require you to have 12 hours of paediatric first aid training, so the 2-Day Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid would be required to fulfil their requirements. This 6 hour qualification also makes up the first half of the 12-hour course.

Upon successful completion of this qualification an Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate will be awarded that is valid for three years.

This qualification has 1 Unit:

The qualification is assessed by a multiple choice examination and an ongoing practical assessment.
