ILM Associates Ltd can deliver Train the Trainer Qualifications:

  • NOCN Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF)
  • NOCN Level 3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training (QCF)
  • NOCN Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry (QCF)

The above qualifications can be delivered together as a bespoke integrated programme. Alternatively they can be delivered individually.

NOCN Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF)

This course replaces the PTTLS qualification and is designed to provide an introduction to working in the education and training sector. Learners will gain knowledge on the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, inclusive teaching and learning approaches, facilitating learning and development with individuals or groups and the role of assessment in the teaching and learning process.

The qualification is suitable for those who work, or intend to work, as:

  • Teachers in adult and community education
  • Teachers or trainers in the voluntary sector
  • Training personnel in commerce, industry, the public sector or HM forces
  • Technicians and support staff in further and adult education

Entry Requirements
All trainee teachers joining this qualification programme should undertake an initial assessment of skills in English, mathematics and ICT. They should record their development needs and, where applicable, agree an action plan to address them. If trainee teachers join the qualification programme having already undertaken an initial assessment of their English, mathematics and ICT skills, their record of development needs and any previous actions taken to address them should be reviewed and updated as required.

There are no other nationally agreed entry requirements.

Qualification Structure
Learners must achieve a minimum of 12 credits. 3 credits from Mandatory Group A, 6 credits from Optional Group B and 3 credits from Optional Group C.

NOCN Level 3 Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training (QCF)

The SIA has specified trainers who deliver Conflict Management Training for the Private Security Industry qualifications for SIA licensing will be required to hold a accredited qualification in the delivery of scenario based Conflict Management.

Course Duration:
3 Days

Requirements:
To complete this course trainers must have obtained; Level 3 Award in Education & Training or equivalent qualification.

There are two units for this qualification:

    1. Knowledge, Understanding, and Application of the Principles of Conflict Management
    2. Designing and Delivering Conflict Management Scenario’s

Unit One

The aim of this unit is to provide an understanding of how to deal effectively with workplace violence. There are four learning outcomes to this unit. The learner will be able to:

1) Assess and reduce the risk of violence in the work environment.
2) Identify behaviour that indicates an escalation towards violence and take appropriate measures to avoid or calm and defuse the situation.
3) Identify post incident support and report the circumstances to provide information for personal and organisational learning.
4) Demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge and understanding of Conflict Management into a variety of practical workplace settings.

Unit Two

The aim of the unit is to provide basic competence to deliver scenario based Conflict Management Training. There are two outcomes to this unit. The learner will be able to:

1) Design relevant and effective scenarios for training in Conflict Management.
2) Deliver and debrief interactive and scenario based sessions in the context of conflict management training.

Upon achievement of this qualification, it will allow achievers to deliver the Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry Unit on all SIA approved qualifications.

NOCN Level 3 Award for Deliverers of Physical Intervention Training in the Private Security Industry (QCF)

The above qualification is for trainers who wish to train people working in the private security industry in physical intervention skills. Achievement of this qualification is a mandatory requirement by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for trainers wishing to deliver training in physical intervention skills as part of the Level 2 Award in Door Supervision.
